Community of goods was formally reestablished in 1761 — the institutional heart of Hutteritism restored after decades of dormancy. Today’s Hutterites are largely descended from this Lutheran group, making the 1755 Alwinz encounter one of the most consequential and least-known moments in Anabaptist history.
